Dear Kathleen and Children, I was so sorry to read recently in the Epiphany bulletin of the death of your beloved husband and father. I remember you and Otis in the days of my own loss and the friendliness you always extended to me whenever we met at church. My heart and prayers go out to all of you.

I was stunned and so saddened to hear about Otis. He was a treasure, truly; an honorary member of our group of old girlfriends who had been together since the second grade and someone who could always make me laugh. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I went to school with Otis and remember him all through high school as having a wonderful sense of humor and always a true friend to all who knew him. Knowing that, I fully see that all he was then carried through to having a wonderful family. After graduation, we loose contact with so many friends, but the wonderful memories are never lost. My prayers are with all of you and I know you are going to miss him greatly.

My father taught me much in life, and I will miss him dearly in the years to come. He and I shared many likes and interests, and we also shared a unique sense of humor and way of looking at the world. I'll never forget all the wisdom he tried so hard to pass on to me.
He was my father, and he was also my friend. I loved him very much.
Goo Nee Goo Goo, Dad. I'll miss you.

I went to school with Otis from 1951
thru high school and he was a best friend and neighbor. A true southern gentleman all his life . He is missed by all that know him and respected him.
When you come to the end of all the light and it is time to step into the darkness of the unknown,Faith is knowing that either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught to fly. Otis--Float on the clouds, dance with the stars and ride the rainbows. Peace to you and your family.

I went to school with Otis, and have fond memories of him. He was always a gentle soul, quiet, never running with the "wild" crowd and, reading from the obituary, it seems as if he continued to be the same kind of person that I knew in high school. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. May you have peace.
