Thomas Rodney Costin Jr.

COSTIN, Thomas Rodney Jr., 66, passed away on October 3, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Rodney Costin Sr. and Ethel Wood Costin. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Palmore Costin; a son and daughter, Thomas "Roddy" Costin III and Ginger Costin Koubi; four granddaughters; two great-grandsons; his cousin and aunt, Bob Wood and Geraldine M. Wood of Port Orange, Florida; and numerous other cousins. He graduated from Varina High School in 1961 and went on to earn a degree in Geophysical Science from Virginia Tech in 1967. His career in the oil and gas industry spanned decades and his dedication to his work was respected by all who knew him. His family acknowledges the deep friendships made during his career and knows that these friends mourn him as brothers or sisters.
