Dear Howard,
We are saddened to hear about Melle. She was a dear friend and we'll miss her so much. Her sweet smile would light up a room. Having known Melle for 32+ years has been a true blessing. Our many fond memories will be with us forever. We are especially thankful the "gang" was able to get together again a few months ago. Melle was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. We have a new angel watching over us. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bring you all comfort and peace.
With our deepest,heartfelt sympathy,
Charlie and Brenda

Dear Mayo Family:
We were saddened to hear of the earthly loss of Melle, a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We also rejoice because we know she is now in the arms of our Lord and in no more pain! The girls and I have so many fond memories of Melle in the library at Oak Grove Baptist and we are so glad to have shared some wonderful times there together. May God's love and grace sustain you all in the days to come. You all will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Debbie, Courtney and Ashley Pollard

Dear Mr. Mayo, Sam and the rest of the Mayo family:
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Mrs. Mayo-I had the great privilege of having her and the entire family in my life. She was an exceptional person that loved her family very much. I am sure that all of you have your own special memories of Mrs. Mayo, as many of us do. May you find comfort in those in the days ahead and may your faith sustain you. You will be in my prayers.
With my deepest sympathy,
Carri Jacobs

Dear Mayo Family: As former neighbors and bridge "buddies" for over twenty years we have many fond memories of Melle and her family. One of our favorites was watching Melle knit while walking around the block in the rain with Howard Sr. holding an umbrella over her to keep her work dry.
Melle was devoted to her family and very proud of all of her children and grandchildren. Our deepest sympathy,
BJ, Marcella and Bruce Sharp and family.
