Helen Ramnitz Obituary

Ramnitz, Helen DELMAR Helen J. Ramnitz, 79, of Delmar and formerly of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland, N.Y. Born in Poughkeepsie on August 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Rickes) Ostrander. Mrs. Ramnitz was a 1946 graduate of Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, N.Y. Mrs. Ramnitz was a medical assistant for several Poughkeepsie area physicians and was also a charter member of the Poughkeepsie Medical Group. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Delmar. Mrs. Ramnitz is survived by her husband, Frank C. Ramnitz; her daughter, Debra J. Paquet of Delmar; and her granddaughter, Kathleen DeMichele of Delmar. Relatives and friends may call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. Entombment services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's name may be sent to the American Lung Association of New York State, 8 Mountianview Avenue, Albany, NY 12205.
