Chester R. Hotaling Jr.

Hotaling, Chester R. Jr. PALENVILLE Chester R. "Bob" Hotaling Jr., age 63, of Palenville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Columbia Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient. Mr. Hotaling was born in Catskill on July 21, 1945 to the late Chester R. Hotaling Sr. and E. Mary Edwards Hotaling. He served with the National Guard in Vietnam and was retired from the NYS Department of Military Naval Affairs in Albany. He was a member of the Catskill Lodge B.P.O.E. #1341, Palenville American Legion, Palenville Fire Police, and a life member of the Palenville Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Ikenhoffer, whom he married on April 5, 1997, of Palenville; his son, Carson Hotaling of Waynesboro, Va.; grandson, Carson Davis Hotaling and granddaughter, Emily Hotal-ing; step-granddaughter, Ashley Mills; two sisters, Debra Riley of Palenville and Wendy Whitbeck of Cairo; two nephews, Darryl Whitbeck of Acra and Shane Whitbeck of Catskill; aunt, Josie Edwards of Palenville; as well as many cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill with Rev. Victor Nelson, pastor of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cairo officiating. Interment will follow in the town of Catskill Cemetery.
