Gertrude F. Flynn

Flynn, Gertrude F. WATERFORD Gertrude F. Flynn, 85, of Van Schoonhoven Square Apartments, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at her residence. Born in Salem, Washington County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Lula May Waldron Cummings. She was a graduate of Waterford High School. Gert was retired from Ursula of Switzerland in Waterford. She had also worked at the former J.M. Fields Store in Troy. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford and a member of the Knickerbocker Steamer Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of John A. Flynn who died in 1991. She is survived by her son, J. Timothy Flynn and his wife Mary of Halfmoon; her granddaughter, MichaeleAnn Flynn Borecki and her great-grandsons, Joshua and Michael Flynn Borecki. She was sister of the late Grace Holtby, Wreatha Luce and William Cummings Sr. Graveside committal services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Arrangements are under the direction of the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, Waterford.
