Peggy Pasqua Obituary

Pasqua, Peggy (McLoughlin) SARATOGA, Calif. Peggy McLoughlin Pasqua, 84, of Saratoga Retirement Community, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, with her loving husband at her side. Her Irish smile, love of dancing and constant laughter with her sense of humor, finally extinguished. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose Lennon McLoughlin. Peggy graduated from Troy High School, about which she constantly reminded everyone with her cheerleading chants. She married her husband of 60 years, Connie Pasqua in 1948, while he was attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In addition to N.Y., she and Connie lived in Conn., Mich., and Minn., before moving to Saratoga in 1970. After being a homemaker and mother to her three children, who had grown and moved on, she decided to attend college. In her 60s, she earned two bachelor's degrees from San Jose State University, majoring in anthropology and history. At the same time, she did volunteer work at Los Gatos Community Hospital. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on many of his international business trips. They continued traveling after their retirement, taking many cruises, visiting every continent. But they especially loved Italy and Ireland. Peggy loved animals, particularly her own pets that she treated as members of her family. She was a lifetime member of the humane society. She loved to view sunsets and tend to her flowers. She will be missed, but will always hold a special place in the hearts of the many people that she touched. Survivors in addition to her husband, Connie, include; three sons, Paul N. Pasqua (Joanne) of Eden Prairie, Minn. and Naples, Fla., Steven L. Pasqua of Las Vegas, and Timothy C. Pasqua (Elizabeth) of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Michael Pasqua and Jodi Bianchi of Minn., and Stephanie and Kimberly Pasqua of San Jose; three great-grandchildren, Daniel and Ella Pasqua and Alexa Bianchi; several nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and John McLoughlin and her sisters, Regina Hart and Rosemary Steenburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th St. and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, and at 10:00 in St. Peter's Church, Troy, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the pastor, Rev. William A. Gorman. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. A calling hour will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to Mass. Dear Tim,

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I never got to meet her but of what I have heard from my brother Jim and of how you spoke of her, I knew that she was one special lady. You are in my thoughts and i am praying for you , your dad and your brothers. Many blessings for strength to get through these sad days. Remember her smiles and laughter and the good times as I am sure she would hope that you could. Hopefully, this may ease the pain and sorrow.

My heart goes out to you dear friend.

Love always,

Your friend,

Terry
