As the season changes, I think of you more often. Your memory weighted hard on me during the beginning of your passing.
Having to pass your building every day, especially on Friday's were the hardest for me.
Then the winter came and the pain of your absence lessened. Still pained me but lessened...a little.
Now the spring has passed and the summer is approaching along w/your memories.
I think back to the last night that I got to be blessed to spend w/you. I sit now and analyze our whole time and discussion that we shared.
From you being sad when you seen my wedding cake topper that you wished you had for your wedding, to being so happy that you had your granddaughter w/you that day, to speaking with your sister and mother.
You were so happy when you got off the phone with them. So much was said and was being told that night and I'm glad I did not take it w/a grain of salt and tell you to stop b*tching, but to allow you to say what you were feeling that night and bing there to share w/you...my ear,my hugs my heart.
I miss you so much Gwen and will not allow anyone to downplay out friendship that we built in such a short time.
I wish you could have held on a little while longer, not just for your family but for my selfish reasons, of missing you as a best friend.
We both acknowleged that we were that to each other, I know in my heart that no one can diminish that. We were making plans of what we would do this summer once I got the car back on the rod, but God decided on another agenda for you.But I will think of you in my travels as I continue on with our plans.
They say you don't know how much you miss someone until they are gone, and I see the pain, hurt and sorrow when your name is spoken by your family.
You are missed so much Gwen. I'm never one to tell my departed goodbye, but I will say, "Till we meet again Gwen".
Love you.
