Anna Mae Hidley

Hidley, Anna Mae DENNISPORT, Mass. Anna Mae Hidley (Fitzgerald), 87, of Dennisport, passed away peacefully at her Oceanside home on August 23, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Robinson of Fla. and her son, Robert G. Hidley and his wife Lynn Hidley of Del. Anna Mae was married to the late Robert K. Hidley of Speigletown, N.Y. where she raised her family and spent most of her adult life. She graduated from Troy High School in Troy, N.Y. and the Troy Business College. Her education and skills led to her administrative support roles as a civilian with the U.S. Army Air Corps JAG office during World War II, and for many years with the research lab of Cluett, Peabody & Company in Troy. Anna Mae was very active with the Women's Auxiliary of the Speigletown Volunteer Fire Department, the Ladies Home Bureau, Cub Scouts and 4-H Club. Her interests included entertaining, traveling and reading. After spending every summer vacation since 1954 on Cape Cod, and after her husband Bob passed away, Anna Mae moved permanently to her beloved Cape Cod Sea Shore where she has lived happily for the past 13 years. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 at St. Bonaventure's Church, 50 Hillview Road, Troy (Speigletown), N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations on Anna Mae's behalf be made to the charity of your choice.
