Norma Tucker Obituary

Tucker, Norma J. SELKIRK Norma J. Tucker, 68, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Norma was born on April 16, 1940 in Terra Alta, W.Va. and is the daughter of Bertha Gladys (Parks) Ashby and the late Junior Wade Ashby. Norma was a teller for Albany Savings Bank in Delmar for six years before retiring in 1997. She then did two tours of mission duty in Africa in 1999 and 2001. For the past two years she worked for Madame Famise Corset Shoppe in Albany. She was a member of New Beginnings Family Church in Rensselaer. In addition to her mother, Norma is survived by her children, Sherri L. (Robert) Tucker-Fyan, Terry K. (Regina) Ashby, Kirk D. Tucker and Aaron D. Tucker; her brothers, Donald (Helen) Ashby, Robert (Barbara) Ashby and Lonnie Ashby; her sister, Arvonda Hanlon; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, David W. Tucker Jr. and her son, Michael T. Tucker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Newcomer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Selkirk. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Farewell to my friend and partner in crime....ha ha. I remember we tried many adventures together in the world of network marketing. You were always game to try and vice versa. I will always remember your kind smile and gentle spirit. I wish I could of paid my last respects
but I did not know you passed into glory. Oh my dear friend ,I will miss you!! I will keep the memories in my heart until we meet again!
