Hey, lil cuz. Mother's Day is in a couple of days, and I'm sitting here thinking of you, the Easter and Mother days dinner we always have and the rolls you always seem to bring. Mom was looking for them same rolls for Easter. I've been meaning to put flowers on you grave for sometime now, but it still so hard (tears are falling from my eyes as I type). Time flies so fast but know this as the times passes you are missed and thought about more. Our lil girls will be 8 years old this year, yeah time has truly flown by, wish you were here to share these lasting memories. Miss you so much.

Hey hun, I miss you so much words can't express. Every time I think about you the tears just fall, it's all like yesterday to me. I can't get over u being gone from my life. It's so hard for me that I can't even face your lovely daughter becauce she reminds me too much of you, I haven't seen her since everything happened. I've try to build myself up to see her but I can't because I no that I will just start crying and I no that she don't need to see me like that. I really miss her. I love you so much and wish everyday that you were here with all of us. You brought that speical something to everyone. Still crying wishing you were here

Its been a little over two years since you've been gone and I miss you more and more each day, lil cuz. Holiday dinners are no longer the same without you.

As I remember the past and the times we shared, the tears still fall gently upon my face. As I tell myself constantly you’re in a better place. I miss the talks and laughs we so often shared. Why did you have to go so soon? It all seems so unfair. But I have to be strong; God made it this way. And when it’s my time in Heaven We’ll Stay.

Love and Miss you So Much.

Calida,
You are gone from us down here on earth but you are present with the Lord but you will never be forgotten. Continue to look down on your daughter as she has gotten so big and spoiled of course but that's a good thing. Continue to look down on the rest of the family to keep us in line. I am still keeping the family prayed up as always. You always said I was the aunt that is left to hold the family together.

Love you much,

My little Sparkle. Her eyes glowed when she smiled, and you felt the warmth of her heart in yours. No one can ever take her place. She was the light and the joy of my life. Sometimes I feel stranded in life without her. My Sparkle.

I was shocked to hear and still can't believe that Calida is gone. I knew her for a short and intense perid at Bowie. We met regulary in 2004 to re-establish the Spanish Club at BSU.I was Vice-President. I was impressed with her thoroughness and dedication. All I can say is ,"Lord , you have an angel coming to see you that doesn't need training".

I had the honor of knowing Calida Williams throughout middle school, high school, and Prince Georges Community College. We were very close friends and I will truly miss her. She was a good friend indeed. One who cared deeply for her family and for the people close to her. She always referred to herself as a daddy’s girl. Calida will never be forgotten. My prayers go out to Mya and the Williams family.

I have never met Calida nor anyone in her family; however, I felt the need to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of this mother, sister, daughter, and friend to others. I know there are no words that can calm the pain that you feel nor replace this person you have lost; my only hope is that you know that others are grieving with you and will pray for peace in your lives during this storm. God is, always has been, and always will be the ultimate healer and restorer. May His grace abide with you all.

I would like to start off by saying God Bless the family, and friends of Calida Williams. I attend Bowie State University and I had the pleasure of having many classes with Calida. My heart and prayers go out to the family and friends of Ms. Calida Williams. Calida was a bright woman with a promising future and unfortunately her life ended abruptly when the Lord called her her home. This was indeed an unexpected event, but the Lord has a plan for us all. There are no words that can express the way that I feel for Calida and Maya, but I do want to say that my heart is with Calida. She has truly lived a life worth living.

Calida, although we didn't talk often, I will remember the conversations we had and the memories we shared.

Calida was a sweet girl, with a good spirit and a warm heart. She was always very sincere and caring. She would always have an amazing smile and glow on her face. I admired her seriousness about her school work and her job. She was just a fun-loving person who I will never forget.

I thank god for bringing Calida in my life and her memories will stay with me forever. She was a precious gem, hard to find and definitely one of a kind.

To the bereaved family and friends, I offer my deepest sympathy and love in this time of mourning. Please take joy and comfort in knowing that Calida was a beautiful person. I had the opportunity to meet Calida three years ago when she became a member of the Education CLub. She was a bright and diligent young lady, who always wore a smile. She will be missed by her Bowie State Family. Please take joy in the wonderful memories and know that God will strengthen you with his peace. God's blessings be with you all. Psalm 30:5 - Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

March 10, 2006

I had just seen Calida three weeks prior to hearing the heartbreaking news on t.v. It had been about 5 years before that time that my sister and I had seen Calida. We were so glad to have seen her in the Target. She spoke with such sophistication and showed us her daughter's picture on her cell phone with such admiration.

I knew Calida from high school at Bladensburg where we performed on the pom-pon team together. She was one of the few squad members who did not get involved in the typical "girly feuds". My sister and I have always seemed to run into Calida together every five years or so since high school.

Maybe I'll run into Calida in heaven somewhere in the next five years or so. I know I'll see her smiling and that's the way I want to remember her.

With such little time to enjoy the fruitness of your life, your life was taken away from you so abruptly. My prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to your daughter Maya, your father, friends and family. May God bless, console and provide strength through this difficult time. I wrote this poem back in 2003 and never truly had a purpose at the time I composed it. Yet, now, it serves a purpose. The name of the poem is....

"Life's Uncertain Moments"

Life, is so uncertain

One minute you have it all

The next minute you don't.

Life, is not always what you want it to be.

You sometimes take the good with the bad.

It is like a race with obstacles to overcome

But in the end it is won, your victory.

Life, you can be here today

You can be gone tomorrow

Take it in stride, or miss out sorely

Cherish everyday that is given.

Life, how it is so uncertain.

Why can't it be what you want.

Hmmm, if it wasn't a difficult lesson.

Then, I guess it wouldn't be life!

May the heavens open to accept another Angel for her wings... As I did not have the pleasure or honor of knowing you, your spirit and determination lives on in the hearts of many who were dear to you. Calida Shamara Williams, you now have your wings of life, soar Angel soar....

Calida was a friend of mine from high school. We seemed to have been drawn together cause I would think of her one day and our paths would cross soon after. While our paths have or probably will never cross, I want you to know that I bring you peace in the name our Lord. He will embrace, when a hug is empty, he will offer words of comfort when an "I'm Sorry" is not enough.

Hold in your memories what your daughter and sister shared while she was on Earth. But be comforted to know that she's now walking on the golden streets in heaven, waiting for the day she will see you again.

May God bless and comfort you through this trying time.
