First off to Ma and the rest of the family and friends, Stay strong and I promise we will get through this together. This has definitely changed my life. I still don't understand but I know not to question Gods work. He had a better plan for her and I will have to accept that, but it doesn't change the fact that I miss Nae, my lil sista, so much. She kept it so real with me, never judged me, always kept me smiling. WE shared alot of moments together and because of Nae I have met alot of special people. WE are family and like I said we will make it together. There was only one Nae, Thank God for that Angel.....just to have her watching over me gives me some sort of peace. Ma you know I got you...Love you:~)

I don't know where to start... First off, to Aunt Netty, Aunt Keisha, and Aunt Denise, JuJuan, Jerell, and Tiff I am soooo sorry for your loss. Janae was my first friend at Glenarden Woods and we were inseparable from then on! It was always Janae and Janine getting in trouble (standing at the wall at recess), or Janae and Janine staying in "After School." We were supposed to be in Chorus together, but they put me in percussion because I REALLY can't sing...lol. I know one time we skipped class in middle school and just stayed in the bathroom. We didn't know what else to do...it was just the thrill of skipping a class. For a minute, I thought she was a long lost cousin just because our names were similar and we were so close. But on a serious note, it's just so tragic that she had to go so soon. But "soon" to us is "perfect" in God's timing. The Giles Family will forever be in my prayers. Please keep in mind that God will be with you every step of the way during this healing time. His Angel has done her work and must had to return home.

Janae...you were one of my first friends when I moved here. You, Janine, Khia the whole throwback crew from elementary school. We miss you so much. Like Yakini said, it seems like yesterday that we were getting on the teachers nerves, getting sent to the principals office and standing on the wall during recess. Well I can see you now standing on the side of the road, cheering your loved ones along the journey of life.
To the family...Janae is in a better place now. No more pain, sorrow or suffering for her. She is in a place of eternal joy and peace. A place that we should all be trying to get to...our Father's house..Heaven! May God's comforting hands hold you during this time of sorrow. Remember that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He's always there for you to talk to. Just holla at him...
With sincere love,
Mika

Words cannot express what you all are going through. Our prayers are that you will feel God's loving arms of protection around you as you ask the questions "why". Lean not to your own understanding and put all trust in God for he will direct your path. Janae and her loving smile will truly be missed by all of us.

Nettie, I am Sooooo sorry to hear that this was your daughter. I have a bad habit of falling asleep in my car and my mother in law was telling me about this incident. When my sister Kathy called me last night and told me this was your daughter, I felt soooo sad. I just want to tell you that I will be praying for you and your family and I'm sorry that it was this situation that got me back in touch with you.

To the Giles family:
To such a beautiful person we must say goodbye
Because they wouldn't want to hear us cry...
A sweeter individual than you we've never met
In our hearts we'll never forget!
The angels came to take you home,
Now we are left on earth to roam.
Your time was to be long, yet seemed too short
To memories now we must resort.
For everyone you had a laugh and a smile
And you loved to sit and joke or talk for awhile.
Now in our hearts your warmth still
lives on
Until our time on earth is gone...
Then once again we'll join our
friend
Together in time that will never end!
May you no longer shed tears for they are in a better place.....
May you rest in peace Janae.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Ms. Giles and Family. I have known Janae since she was in elementary school and she always wore a pretty smile on her face. I'm shore that smile will be missed. She's gone from the physical but everyone can carry her in their hearts. One thing I thank God for are memories. For every loved one lost, we keep all the good memories near us. I know this is going to be a very hard situation to cope with but this too shall pass. I encourage all that knew Janae, young and old to get a close relationship with god. I know the question of why such tragedy had to hit someone so young will be asked over and over again. God has picked yet another rose for his garden. My prayers will continuously be with you.
All In God's Plan!
We don't always understand in our life, why things happen the way that they do. Sometimes we try to find the answers, and other times, we don't feel a need to.
However, whatever the reason might be, it always lays in God Almighty's hands. We have to believe all that does happen, is meant to be, as a part of God's plans.
The answers all rest in our faith in God; there is a purpose for all our life brings. And even through the sadness we feel, we should try to find, a hidden blessing.
So often we don't see a reason right away, as our hearts are filled with all our emotion. We should remember it is all in His plans, and even if it hurts, not forget His devotion.
Some things happen to teach life lessons, and others are just a part of our time here. We need to experience the many facets, before the meaning of life, becomes clear.
No matter what we face, be it sadness or joy, always let His love continue to shine within. God has a plan for each one of His children; we must trust in His love, and never give in!

Nettie and Family: There are no words to express my sorrow of the loss of your sweetie pie, Janae. Janae was blessed to have you as a mother. Be proud in the comfort of knowing that you did your best. Anyone who knows you can attest to that fact and that, Janae knew she was truly loved by you. When God decided to call Angel, Janae, there is absolutely nothing that could have been done to change His Will. God allowed you, her brothers and all that knew her more than 20 years of that great smile. Let's thank him for that. Remember, I love you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
