Dear Natalie,

Thank you so much for the time we spent together before you died. It gave me the confidence I need to always believe in myself and know that we are all part of something so much greater. Fireworks, butterflies, pretty eyes, dog love, Arturo's (yummy!), and the King of Pop!! Things that make me grin from ear to ear, that will forever bring us back together, but only when I hold you in my arms, will I know I'm home. My muse, loving you always, Justin

Lisa, even though there would be many months/years between the times we'd see each other, know that you and Natalie were thought of often by us. Because someone else wanted to help another human being, you were fortunate to have Natalie a little longer in your life. By knowing Natalie and you, we personally understand what a transplant can mean, so when the time came for us to face the challenge in Brett's case, we already had our answer to the question of organ/tissue donation due in a large part to Natalie. You are in our thoughts and prayers and if you need someone to just listen, any time, give us a call.

We are deeply saddened by this loss. The Arizona Kidney Foundation, of which I am a small part, has been associated with Team Arizona and the US Transplant Games for many years. My personal association with the team and the athletes began 5 years ago, when I first met Natalie. She changed my perspective on the value of life, and always managed to make me smile. I am glad her struggles are over, but I grieve with and for her family.

Natalie was the strongest women I have ever known. To have gone through all that she has and still have such a love for life. I will miss her smile and laughter and her wonderful stories. I love you Natalie.

NEAR A SHADY WALL A ROSE ONCE GREW,

BUDDED & BLOSSOMED IN GOD'D FREE LIGHT,

WATERED & FED BY MORNING DEW,

SHEDDING IT'S SWEETNESS DAY & NIGHT.

AS IT GREW & BLOSSOMED FAIR & TALL,

SLOWLY RISING TO LOFTIER HEIGHT,

IT CAME TO A CREVICE IN THE WALL

THROUGH WHICH IT SHONE A BEAM OF LIGHT.

ONWARD IT CREPT WITH ADDED STRENGTH

WITH NEVER A FEAR OR PRIDE,

IT FOLLOWED THE LIGHT

THROUGH THE CREVICE'S LENGTH

& UNFOLDED ITSELF ON THE OTHER SIDE.

THE LIGHT, THE DEW, THE BRODENING VIEW

WERE FOUND THE SAME AS THEY WERE BEFORE.

& IT LOST ITSELF IN BEAUTIES NEW,

BREATHING IT'S FRAGRANCE MORE & MORE.

SHALL CLAIM OF DEATH CAUSE US TO GRIEVE

& MAKE OUR COURAGE FAINT & FALL?

NAY! LET US FAITH & HOPE RECEIVE-

THE ROSE STILL GROWS BEYOND THE WALL,

SCATTERING FRAGRANCE FAR & WIDE!

JUST AS IT DID IN DAYS OF YORE,

JUST AS IT DID ON THE OTHER SIDE,

JUST AS IT WILL FOREVERMORE!

YOUR FRAGRANCE & YOUR BEAUTY LINGER IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER XXXXXOOOOO

I was priviliged to have met Natalie, through her cousin my son-in-law Philip. How brave she was and what an inspiration. I know how proud the entire family is of her. My heartfelt sympathy to each and everyone of you. May you find peace in the comfort of each other and know you are being held up in prayer by many whose lives have been touched by your lives.

Natalie, I will always remember the summers that you, Lindy, and I spent in Tolleson with Papa and Grammy. Papa taught us all how to swim and Grammy would be waiting with a big bowl of dark red cherries for us to eat while she blew dry our hair so we wouldn't catch cold. :) Those are wonderful memories! I love you Nat! Your Cousin Coco

As a cousin to Lisa, who never had children - Natalie meant very much to me.

Nat & Lisa both have shared with us all a rare and wonderful spirit that will continue within us every time we recall a moment, a stiuation or a special encounter. I can't hear Croce sing "Time in a Bottle" without tears in my eyes at his words and how at times we all wished it could work that way.

The loss is tremendous, but the life lessons have been well learned.

My mother cherishes the time she "ran into" Natalie and Lisa at a local theatre and Nat insisted & proudly bought Mom's ticket with precious earned cash from her jewlery sales - a simple story that she often told as proud as any Grandmother might do.....

Our love and support for you always - LESLIE

Wish I felt more poetic today, our hearts are heavy, but when our head clears a bit perhaps can offer something more....

We pray that God will be with you at your time of loss. Natalie and Lisa were a great inspiration to me. Natalie was a brave little fighter back in 1989. It was the last time I saw her. I will never forget her. She and Lisa inspired me to try to make the most of each day.

Natalie you were in my prayers for many years. I remember when you were born and my mom telling me that you were sick. You defied all the odds and showed those doctors what love and prayers can do. You are such a precious spirit with such a positive outlook. Thank you for touching my life. Enjoy running, dancing and riding your bike with Jesus!

Love,

Cousin Becky

I was blessed to have Natalie as a niece. The lessons I might have forgotten to teach my children they learned by having Natalie as a cousin - Living life for the moment, cheerful attitude under difficult circumtances and a caring heart for all others. Nat, we miss you already. Love, Aunt Debby
