Burton Johnston Obituary

Johnston, Burton Carl
Born March 21, 1942, passed away on March 14, 2011, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Elaine, his children Patrick (Michelle), Penny Scherzer (Jim), Scott, and four grandchildren with another one expected this summer, his brother Bobby (Sherry), sister Patricia (Richard), sister-in-law Yvonne, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles and his grandson Kaeden. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. (Rosary 9:30 a.m), Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at St. Stevens Catholic Church, 24827 S Dobson Road, Sun Lakes AZ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lung Transplant Support Organization, 4980 S Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ 85248

Elaine, our condolences to you and your family. I will always remember Carl, as he was the one that I first met that had a lung transplant. He looked at me and said "don't let anyone change your mind about the transplant, you deserve another chance at life." I will always remember that and his warm smile and kind words. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lainie, may the memories & love you have for Carl be your constant daily uplift. Your love for each other showed everytime I saw you together. I am so sorry you lost him so soon. Your family & friends will always be there for you so lean on them when you need to. God Bless you & your family. You are always in my thoughts & prayers.
