Leonora Palermo Obituary
Leonora Palermo, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on March 28th, 2011. Leonora was a proud New Yorker born in Brooklyn on January 18th, 1931. She and her husband recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Leonora dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She was committed to making her family happy and keeping them well fed. Her greatest pleasure was cooking big italian dinners. Leonora was a little Italian lady with a big personality, a compassionate heart, and a great sense of humor. She was a devout Catholic who prayed with her rosary group every Monday, and acted out her faith daily. Leonora is survived by her husband Peter, daughters Joanne Fitch (Dean), Margaret Cheche, Susan, Maria, her son Frank and her 5 grandchildren, Vanessa, Rachel, Peter, Mark Jr. and Anthony. She was deeply loved and will be missed dearly but her memory will be kept alive in her families heart forever. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011, Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011, Ss Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Avenue, Phx, Donations to Hospice of the Valley

Even though I only met her once, she remains a pleasant memory. She had that contagious, bubbly personality that I immediately loved.

We have know Lenora and Peter for many years and we will always remember Lenora's smiling face. She was such a warm and caring person. She will be dearly missed. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to Peter and family. Joe and Vita Keyes

We have had the pleasure of knowing Pete and Lenora for the past several years. Lenora was such a joy. She was a very kind and sweet person. To Pete and his family we want to express our deepest symapthy. And to Pete, we are here if you need anything at all. We will miss Lenora and keep you and your family in our prayers.
