Lea Frost Obituary

Frost, Lea Charlotte
Lea Charlotte Frost (nee Caldwell) passed away April 6, 2011, in Scottsdale, Arizona, of natural causes. Born in Orange, Texas, March 31, 1933, Charlotte was raised in Bisbee, Arizona, by her loving and now deceased parents, John and Eula Yvette Caldwell. It was in Bisbee where she met her beloved husband David Richmond Frost, to whom she was happily married for 61 years. She and David have spent their adult life mainly in Phoenix where they proudly raised their three children, Darrel Richmond Frost, Mary Beth Frost and Judith Anne Mackey. In addition to her husband and children, Charlotte is survived by her brother, Bruce Caldwell, her two adored granddaughters, Marian Lea Frost and Erin Olivia Mackey, her brother's and children's spouses, in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She will be missed by all. Her younger brother, William ("Billy") Caldwell, who held a very special place in her heart, pre-deceased her many years ago. Charlotte will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind, caring, graceful and loving nature, her beauty that never faded, her easy laugh, her hugs, her unconditional love and dedication to her husband and family, her musical talent, her love of teaching children in the Washington School District, her collection of kaleidoscopes and "Twas the Night Before Christmas" books, her support of charities and her admiration of hummingbirds, the desert, and the Arizona mountains. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 10th at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 East Bell Rd., Scottsdale from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 11th, at 1pm, also at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, followed by a reception in North Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations are made to the Kids in Need Foundation in her name at http://www.kinf.org/help/donate_funds.php, or through a donation by mail to: 3077 Kettering Blvd., Suite 114, Dayton, OH, 45439. Charlotte you will be missed by all your dear friends who taught with you at Tumbleweed. We taught third grade together and I always admired your intelligence with the students. The parents always admired you and there will be many students who will thank you for your guidance. Love, Barbara Rucker-Kovach
