Harold Roland Arbour

Age 83, longtime Merrimac resident, WW II Navy Veteran, died at his home June 1, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Howe) Arbour; devoted father of Michelle Malone and husband David; Dolores Roy; Mark Hume, Michael Hume and Gregory Griffin; proud grandfather of nine wonderful grandchildren; uncle to two nephews, cousin of Joan Carrier and faithful and devoted owner of Ruby, his beloved dog. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, 2 School Street, Amesbury followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac. Visiting hours at Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main Street, MERRIMAC, will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Merrimac Fire Department, 16 East Main Street, Merrimac, MA 01860 or to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
