Jeannie, Patti, and Lorraine
I just recently heard about John and I couldn't believe it, I was numb. I've been removed from Killington for 10 yrs, but my fondest memories are with John after hours playing the 45's, and HH @ the Pickle(upstairs of course). I miss those days, but will remember them always. The first time I met John the first words out of his mouth were "What do you call a deer with no eyes?" You know the rest, I still get a chuckle from that. I will miss him imensely as I miss the friendships we had in VT. I'm sure John is still playing those 45's. God Bless everyone.

To John's sisters and Sheryl: We were so saddened to just learn by reading the Mountain Times of "John Boy's" passing. Although our paths haven't crossed in Killington for many years, we have very fond memories of meeting him on the mountain beginning more than 30 years ago. He'd ski up to us at the Killington chair, start off with a kiss and a hug and a good joke! What an extraordinary man! Back then he always spoke with great love and affection for his dear sisters, L, J & P. You were his "daughters". We're sorry we never had the pleasure of meeting Sheryl. On behalf of all the former members of our Spring Hill Road house, please know we will pray for you. Most sincerely,
Ray & Marie Martucci, Paul & Brenda Martucci and friends, including Ed Walsh Terry Gauthier, Eddie Ackerman, Pat Tistan, Linda and Mark Sienna

I waited all this time to sign this book because nothing I thought of to write seemed just right.

Then last weekend I was in Killington & on Friday night went to the 8th tee to say some prayers and reflect on my many great memories of John. Saturday morning I went to breakfast at Johnny Boys & ran into Gramps. We talked about John & it is obvious that Gramps is grieving deeply. Then Gramps was called away for a pick-up, leaving me crying about John again. A friend asked if I it would help to go back to the golf course. I suddenly realized something and said "No, I don't have to go back there; John is everywhere here. He is part of the mountain and everything on the access road."

So while I am glad I went to the golf course, I realize that John will always be a part of the soul and spirit of Killington.

Love you always John,

MB

To John's family-
I remember John most for always being involved in every big event and all the fund raisers held at Killington. He made everyone he met, who visited Vermont, feel special and always offered his home to anyone who came up to visit his neighborhood. From Halloween Judge at the Wobbly Barn to Trike Race Captain on the Killington Road and so many benefits for important causes in between, you always new John would be in the middle of it all. One of the great locals has moved up to the next level and he will be very much missed from the mountains and the valleys of Vermont. Thanks for your friendship John and for all the hospitality you offered over the years. God bless.
