I remember S. Reggie well, she taught math, a subject I was not very good in, but she was patient and tolerant. I am sorry to hear of her passing and prayers are being offered for her. Helyn Paskevic Mehalick - [email protected]

I just heard (July 23, 2009) that Sr. Regina had passed last year.
Sr. Regina was my 8th grade teacher at St. Sylvester's School in Brooklyn, NY for the 1967-68 school year.
Tumultuous times in the world in those days . The world was changing and we were changing along with it. High School was looming in the very near future, we would be on the Moon in a year, Vietnam was on our TV screens every night at 6 and 11. All the while, Sr Regina was there teaching us Math, among other things. Random thoughts:
- She was the last person I ever heard use the word 'mucilage'.
- Not sure, but I think she liked us hooligans in those days.
True story: When I was facing Algebra finals in High School I would go to the convent after school and Sr Regina would devote her free time to tutoring me. It was somewhat surreal seeing all of the other nuns in 'civilian' clothes. Sr. Regina will always be remebered fondly as she had a part in shaping the person that I am.
Prayers to her. She was a great lady.

Sister Regina,
You brought sunshine into the lives of so many people and will continue to do so in Heaven. Thank you for keeping in contact with me for the past 19 years through your humourous and thoughtful letters. I will miss them and you dearly.

Sister Regina Therese,
All of your students will remember you for your kindness and thoughtfulness even after we left your classroom. Your ability to keep in touch with so many of us is a testament to the type of person you were, and our eagerness to have you in our lives post-elementary school shows what an effect you had on us.
God bless you.
