Dear Kandres Family:

We have just learned of John's passing and the reality of John not being with us has shrouded our day in sadness, humility and sorrow. Please accept our belated heartfelt sympathies for your loss.

I had worked with John at ISP and CBWL at the Schrafft's Center for several years. Together we managed the JTPA funds. John was one of the most loving and caring people I have ever known. We shared many lunch time stories in which he talked about his love for all his family, his country and fellow man.

John would stop by our house in Andover on holiday occasions bringing festive cheer to all especially our disabled son. His kindness and gentle ways touched the hearts of many. He will be remembered always with deep respect and admiration. Our lives are much emptier knowing that he is not with us.

John was, a TRUE American, a Gentlemen and a gift from God above.

John was a fine individual and a good friend at All Saint's Church in the Episcopal Young Churchmen (EYC), back in the early 1960ies. I have many fund memories of the good times we had in EYC with John. He had away to make everyone feel liked. His passing is a loss to all who knew him.

Dear Family
I want totell you how sorry I am to hear of John's passing. I never got to meet him personally but spoke with him many times on the phone. I own a haircare studio and worked with John for grants. He was so helpfull and patient. It was such a pleasant surprise to have such a professional man to help thru state office .I thought you should know what a great person he was. During your healing remember all the good he had to share.

To John's Family,
I remember John from EYC those many years ago. He was always up, his good nature contagious. The last time I saw John was at Ft. Dix NJ when we ran into one another as members of the US Army.
The world will miss him, and I am far better for knowing him altho it has been decades since we last met.

John was such a kind and considerate man. Always looking for the good in everything and one he did or met. A man that stood the line when his county asked and came back to continue giving of himself.

I have such fond memories of the days of EYC at All Sanits Church and John was always a huge part of that time in my and, I'm sure, so many others lives’. Endlessly sharing, supporting and (best of all) laughing until it hurt so good. Thank you John!

I trust he is on the next and maybe best part of this journey we call life. God’s speed John!

Dear Cindy,

John was a good friend; more importantly he was a good, a real good man who never had a course word about anyone. John had perpetual cheer, the most positive "can do" attitude I've ever known. He wanted to help in eveything he could. He would admonish me for this, but I will miss him so and he was taken long before his time. I know he loved you so and you made his final years very happy.
