Heidi, erst jetzt erfahre ich von dieser traurigen Nachricht. Das tut mir sehr leid und ich werde Peter immer in Erinnerung behalten, als Mann mit einem festen Charakter und einem weichen Herz.
Herzlichst

Heidemarie,
My most heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family in the passing of Peter.. I had the privilege of having shining moments of conversation with Peter, when visiting Mom and Dad. When walking to Damon's Point, I would sometimes run into him and we would have a moment of conversation; or I might see him at church and he would give me a kind greeting and smile; or I would be invited to the "Men's Bible Study" and listen in on the rich insights shared by Peter and Dad and so many others. Peter always shared with such humility and wisdom, and I always left his presence smiling and feeling special. He truly loved life and all it had to offer... It is such a joy to my heart to have known him even a little bit.. My life is the richer for it and I will miss him...A gentle man through and through...In Love, Betsey (Mitchell) Lindstrom

Mr. Lange,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in Europe during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear Heide and family, So sad, Peter was a real class act. Intelligent, always smiling, interesting to talk with and always had something good to say.
Will miss seeing him around the neighborhood.

Dear Heide:
During one’s journey in life, rarely does a person encounter a gentleman whose greatness and modesty reside in one person like Peter. With his vast knowledge and experience of world affairs, spanning more than three quarters of a century, we knew we were in the company of an intellectual giant.
My wife, Lidia, and I had the honor of being the friends of Peter and his gracious wife Heidemarie for over 15 years. Lidia and Heidemarie were the cofounders of the South Shore Latina Ladies Group, in which Peter and I met at various occasions within and outside this circle. We had numerous enlightening discussions, which attracted other participants, and as a result, we were all enriched with his humor and insight.
Peter will be missed, but his memory will always remain with us.
