Having just learned of Benn's passing, I mourn him and want the family to know I am thinking of them with love and prayers. Benn and his team got involved w/building and designing our home in Dedham, MA, back in 1997 - 1999 and my best memory was that he attended our N.Y. eve party where everyone had to wear a Hat! Today the angels in heaven are having fun and laughing with the arrival of our departed friend Benn.
He was a true gentleman and a person with so much fun and humor to be with.
His talent for creating spectacular rooms was always an inspiration to me and my work.
I was shocked to learn about Benn sudden death.
He will be missed by many of us in the design community.
My prayers and deepest thoughts are going to Benn family.

I knew Benn during the early 1990's before I moved to the South. I would usually GOOGLE Benn's name to see what projects he was up to or completed. Imagine my shock reading of his early demise. Always dedicated to his clients and profession, he was a 24/7 type of guy. It would amaze me the amount of energy he had, consistantly thinking and analizing in a creative way. I think of Benn as stylish, classy, generous, and always with a sense of humor. I learned a few things from Benn not being in the design profession. His legacy will live on to those he touched, loved and taught about design. Thanks for those lessons buddy. My coldoleces to his wife Paula and children.

My heart is heavy feeling the loss of so sweet and gentle a man. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We grew up together in the design field and did many of the same showhouses. His generosity was displayed to me several years ago when a mutual friend in the design industry came upon very hard times. Benn called me, knowing I was also a friend to the designer, and he asked that we connect so he could give me an envelope with a generous amount of cash to give to our friend. He wanted no one to know who gave it and wanted and expected no thanks. He was an exceptionally good man and he will be missed. It was an honor to witness the tasteful and loving church service in his honor last Friday.

I am a neighbor of Madeline and family and just learned of Benjamin's passing yesterday. Madeline shared that Benjamin has done the interior of her house when it was renovated. Needless to say it is beautiful.
My thoughts are with you at this time.

Words can not express how saddened Woody and I were to hear of Benn's passing. Paula, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. We met Benn and Paula about 7 years ago and over the years they have transformed our house into a home! For that we are forever grateful. Benn's love and passion for design was evident in everything he did, from every room he designed to the smallest of details, such as picture frames for all our family photos. Benn will be forever missed by those whose lives he touched.

God Bless.

To the family of Ben Nahabedian,
It was with shocking realism to learn of the tragic passing of a wonderful man and friend. Although we drifted apart with the vast space in time, I see a face lit up with a great smile, “In deed”. I remember the times he came into my shop, a proud man of success in what he loved. I will always remember the greatness in the man he was.

Dear Paula,
We are so very sorry for your loss....Benn was a true gentleman and talented designer.....working with him was always a pleasure. Dearest Paula and family, It is not often in our lives that our hearts are inextricably woven together by choice not by birth. In my life I was graced by Benn's warmth and deep care. He will always be my brother. You are a family who brought him so much love. I hope that you will all find peace in the memories and joy that you shared. You were the treasures in his life.

October 8, 2008

I visited Ben on one occasion several years ago with my two friends Tim and Chris. He was a warm, gracious host who showed me around his beautiful home, served me a fantastic lunch in his sunny back yard and introduced me to the sounds of Argentinian music. I remember leaving his home and wishing I could see him more often. He made me feel like I was his special friend and always welcome in his home. I found out later, from his friends, that Ben always showed that generosity to people and was well loved. Even though I only met him once before that brief visit, the memory of this day remains vividly in my memory today. I will mourn the passing of this great man. He certainly made a great impression on me.

Benn was a friend to many and I am proud to have considered myself one of them.

Regardless of the situation at hand, with always a sense of humor about him, Benn was never at a loss for words, injecting humor when others only saw anything but.

This world has given a kind and gentle soul to the heavens...touching so many, forgotten by none.

Benn was a mentor to Stella as she began her career as an interior designer and quickly became a dear friend to both of us. He was indeed the most distinguished professional on the Boston interior design scene. The Greeks, who have words for everything, have a special prayer for a time such as this: May the memory of our dearly departed Benn, who is worthy of blessedness and eternal memory, be with us now and forever and ever.

Ben and I over many years were involved with the Junior League Show Houses as designers of some of their major rooms.Ben's talent was always outstanding . The rooms he decorated were usually choosen by the press as the most outstanding in all the many, many ,Show Houses he donated his talent to. He was a perfect gentleman and truly a great professional interior designer. He will be missed by all of us in the design community as a dear friend and a generous contributor to many design charity events with both his time and money. His clients will miss him as much as his family because he gave his heart to everything he did and became part of the family as all great designers do.He set a wonderful example for the young designers to follow in their practice. We will all miss him. God be with his loving family and help them in their grief
