To Laura and her family,
I wanted to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of your parents. It was amazing to see how many previous students remember your mother the same way I did. She has and will always be the most influential teacher I have ever had. We were all lucky to have known her.

Dear Bob and Laura,
I was so sad when I found out about what had happened. There's no way for me to be able to say how sorry I feel. Mrs.Cooley was not only the best teacher but the most selfless person I'll probally ever meet. I can't imagine how much time she took to make all those hand written cards and mail them out to us. We had a lot of fun in the classroom from her slapping stickers on our head and the many funny stories she told about you guys and herself. She will always be in our hears, I can't imagine anyone who would forget such a beautiful person like Nancy. Once again I am very sorry for your loss. And I wish you all the best.

It is a great sadness in which I write this note on behalf of Nancy. She had a kind heart and always thought of others before herself. Over the years she would send my father little notes which he keep on his t.v. to cheer him up. God must have needed another angel in heaven. My thoughts go out to her family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Cooley's passing. She was my teacher at Sacred Heart. I still have a note she wrote to me saying, "you make my heart sing". She was an amazing teacher, so encouraging, and fun, she will be missed.
One of my favorite memories in her class was when we were discussing Romeo & Juliet vs West Side Story, and she brought in her record of West Side Story to play in the class. Thanks to her, this was and still is one of my favorite musicals.

Bob and Laura,
We are sorry we were unable to attend the wake and funeral for Nancy. We will always remember the fun she brought to the gatherings of the Cooley family that we were priviledged to attend. She was a loving and kind woman with a great sense of humor and she delighted all who knew her. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time.
May the happy memories help you through the tough times.

I am so sorry I was unable to attend I was out of town and just read about it. Though I haven't seen her in years there are still days that things comeback and I think Mrs.Cooley said ... I will have a Diet Coke and reflect on all of the great memories. What a wonderful person.

We are very sad to hear the news, what a tremendous loss. Mrs. Cooley was an extremely caring person. My three children had Mrs. Cooley in the 6th grade at Whittemore School. I was always impressed when my children would receive a lovely hand written card in the mail from Mrs. Cooley each time they made the Honor Roll. She was so dedicated and caring that she followed her students’ progress throughout their education and would acknowledge their accomplishments with a card. She would be proud to know all three of my children have gone on to college, and one is currently in Graduate school they are all doing well. We will always remember the cards so lovingly signed by Mrs. Cooley (Thank you, Mrs. Cooley). Our deepest sympathy to her family, The Nix Family

Mrs. Cooley was one of my favorite teachers, not only did she get me interested in History but she was such a funny teacher she made learning more than just facts and dates, she just made it fun. I will never forget her smacking stickers onto our foreheads when we got 100's. Or the fact that even when I was not in her class any more she would send me letters. To the Cooley family I am so sorry for your loss and you are all in our prayers.

Mrs. Cooley is the reason I will never put off writing a thank you note again. My son had her as a sixth grade teacher at McDevitt Middle School. For the next 2 years every time she saw his name in the newspaper she would send a note to our house. She always took the time to say "good job" and sometimes even enclosed stickers! Every card was ended the same way "Consider yourself dope slapped." She was an incredible teacher who truly cared about her students. Each and every one. She will be sorely missed and her kind words remembered forever. If I only took a minute to write back to her and say "thank you."

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Mrs. Cooley's passing. I had the pleasure of having had her as a Homeroom Teacher 20 years ago at Kennedy Middle School(in Waltham). She was an inspiration, and defined what a teacher is and should be. Heaven is definitely gaining an angel, with Mrs. Cooley.
Bob and Laura, all the good stories she used to tell us about you guys in Homeroom and Study Hall.
