I am so sorry for your loss. I will long remember Irene as one of the nicest and sweetest lady. She was a joy to be around. And, I will miss seeing her.

We will all miss this wonderful lady with such a sparkling personality! May her family find comfort in knowing that she dearly loved them. There is no doubt that this new angel in heaven is receiving her just reward from Our Heavenly Father, including finally being reunited with her beloved Jim.

I met Donna when I was 10 years old. We were in 5th grade together and she always made me laugh, I'd get caught and get my seat changed.

I'll never forget the day Donna invited me to her home in Watertown. We went in the back door and her Mom hugged and kissed her. I came from a different background and we didn't hug or kiss. Irene taught me so much that day. Love was possible. She would drive us to school with her hair in curlers and a scarf on her head. As we drove down the hill, she would shout, WEEEE.

Donna, her mother, father and grandmother were a big part of my life. I was so sad when they moved to Arlington, but we managed to see each other as often as we could.

The years past, I was in Donna & Vic's wedding and enjoyed their 25th anniversary. Irene was always there with her love, sense of humor, and kindness. My only regret is that I didn't go to CT and visit her.

She will always be my "second mother" and will be missed. If there were more people like her in this world, it would be a better place.

My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this difficult time. I know you will all support each other unconditionally.

Love, Donna Sperandio
