Dear Anna and Family: We were so sorry to hear of John's passing. Dining at the Highland wouldn't have been complete without a visit from you and John to our table. No one is ever prepared for the loss of a loved one. We hope the memories you share, and the support of your great family, will help you through this difficult time.

We are sorry to hear about the loss of my great uncle johnny. Even though I have not seen anyone in awhile since I had been a little girl I have many good memories of family parties at uncle johnny's house and at my granddad (Danny Puleo's) restaurant. He was always good to me and all the other family members. I still remember him buying the donuts for the family gatherings. Again, we are sorry for the loss and god bless you Uncle Johnny.

To all John's family. He was a very special man who will be missed by many. My dad and I were saddened to hear of his death. He will always be remembered as a true gentleman and friend. We all have fond memories of John and one that my parents always shared with me was that John and Anna's first date was at there wedding.

To my cousins, friends and family,
October 24, 2008
I am deeply grieved by the loss of my uncle Johnny. I am also saddened with the progressive loss of, what is to us, the original generation. Certainly we know that it is our manifest destiny to pass, however when the most prominent and one of the most stable of the originals is lost, we all affected.
As a child, I remember my uncle Johnny rescuing me (several times) from the clutches of the law and he was my inspiration to become a police officer myself. I clearly remember the day, on the steps of the police station, that he was honored for his action in which he confronted the armed robber in (I think) the supermarket. I beamed with pride in telling people that ?that?s my uncle Johnny up there?.
Confidently I say that God rewards the good.
With love,
Bob Waters and family.

Dad,
This all seems like a dream and once I awake you will be here asking me how the kids are or giving me advise about the vitamins I should be taking. You are a man who God only made once and a man who seemed to know what it was all about - LOVE. Love of your precious wife Anna, love for your family, love for mankind and most of all love for God. You were a man who never spoke bad about anyone. You were amazing. Thank you for everything you did for us. The only way we will go on is through your love and memories. We love you to heaven and back. We know you are looking down on us and smiling. And we know that you are making room for all of us. Love your oldest granddaughter - Marianna
