I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I knew him. He was my grandfather. I am his son Bill's daughter. It is sad that I know nothing about any of the Galan family.
He seemed well loved.

Bill, you were a wonderful friend to my Dad, Oscar Lambine. Dad was also an engineer, and a Mason, and a WWII veteran, so you and he had a lot in common. Dad loved having you (and the rest of the store crowd) come to the house on the beach for coffee. The conversation was always scintillating-- politics, social issues, goings-on in town. You would also take him up to the golf course when he could no longer drive. Thank you for serving our country, and thank you for being the wonderful person that you were. Lisa Bartran and I both send our sympathies to the Galan family members.

Mr. Galan,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
