Andrew and Alyssa - I only heard much later that your mom had died. Carl and I were so sad to hear that, and feel the world emptier without her. I have such good memories of the time we were friends, and I was always so happy to cross paths with her, which happened every year or two, since all you children grew up and out. Her face is so vivid in my memory, as she would tell me some event or encounter in her life in such good humored and wry detail. I hope you both will rekindle some connection with Eli, Rose (who are both in Somerville) and Galen. She and I both really valued your friendships. Much love, Peggy

Roberta, enormous-hearted, unsinkable, sassy dame... irreplaceable founding "mother" of our support group. She was equally beautiful and stylish whether sporting a technicolor wig, a curly hair-do or no hair-do at all. She made us laugh and gave us hope. She was a survivor emeritus among survivors and gave meaning to the word.
