Dear Cousins, I, Marty, was 9 years old and always remember our family picnics at Oppenheim Park, Veterans Park, Hyde Park in NF where my uncles and my Dad and us kids played basesball, the highlight of the picnic in my 9 year old eyes. A "fun" argument among my uncles pursued when someone was called out or if the ball was a foul or not - words flew, but not the ball. Also the horseshoe games, my uncles were "hot" over the location of the shoe - it was not close enough, so my Uncle George who did not like loosing, kicked the shoe to make it closer! Fun times. My uncles, my Dad and Mom and cousins and all of our family is priceless to me and Karen. The motto was "Uncle George Never Loses" so everyone of us kids wanted to be on Uncle George's team! Uncle Marty, Uncle Steve, Uncle Lew, Uncle George, Uncle Jack, my Dad -Uncle Joe, Jerry, Johnny, George, Steve, Russell, Gary, Jimmy and myself and others that I maybe leaving out; our uncles knew how to have fun, work hard, live and love life. Uncle Jack always made us feel welcome in his company and conversed with us with his great smile! He had a kind way always of greeting a "new" one into the family whether you were a newborn or a 30 year old! At our 2000 Family Reunion at Krull Park, Olcott, Uncle Jack attended wearing his NY Yankee striped umpire shirt - ready to play ball or referee a game! He played cards that day and told us many funny and wise stories. Hawk Run and Black Moshannon are places that are mine and Karen's favorite places to be - oh so special! We have a great family with all doing wonderful accomplishments and raising up loving and kind children, grandchildren, great grandones too! Let's keep those picnics and games going!! I thank God for Uncle Jack, my Dad and Mom, all my uncles and aunts and cousins and you are all always welcome to our home, our "cottage on wheels." big hugs, love, Marty and Karen VeRost and Families

dear family of Kacl Bartlo, I remember your father from a long time ago. He worked with my father at Union Carbide before the 70,s. His name was clyde Miller and the two of them always played cards together at the Royal Tavern. When may father passed in l970, your father came to see if there was anything we needed or what he could do. Growing up with my father he always talked aout Mr. Bartko. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with you all at tis time.

Fr. Bartko, I was sorry to hear of your Fathers passing. As I remember you telling our class way back in 1971, Do not be sad, as it is a celebration as he is now with the Lord. I did not know your Father, however, having had the honor to know you, Fr. Bartko, I know your Father must have been a great man. My prayers are with you and your family.

Fr. Jerry, Carole, Mike and family,
I am sorry to learn of Mr. Bartko's death. He is happy to be with Mrs. Bartko and with my Mom and Dad, Mary and Lindy, to keep up with their friendly chatter, at least they won't have to yell across the yards. You all are in our thoughts and prayers, for I diffently know that he is very happy up in heaven. I can still see his smiling face. Know that we are with you in spirit and love you all.

My condolences go out to the Bartko family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I knew John only from seeing him at Mt. Carmel for awhile. I know he will be missed by his loving family.
