Beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept of one we loved and will never forget. Our hearts still ache in sadness and silent tears still flow. What it meant to lose you no one will ever know. Happy 28th Birthday, Travis. Love you always and forever. Absolutely.

Mr. & Mrs. Dartmott and Alyssa,
I am so unbelievably grateful for having such a remarkable friend in my life. I considered Travis part of my family and will think of him everyday. He was like a brother to me. His presence lifted my spirits and his laugh will never be forgotten. I am appreciative for the friendship he and Chris shared and the happiness he brought to both of our lives. More than anything, I will miss the long talks and the advice that Travis offered. You raised an unbelievable son, full of generosity. I am extremely sorry for your loss and hope that knowing how much Travis was loved can in someway comfort you. Trav, I will miss you everyday. Thanks for being my friend.

Darmott Family,
Travis and I were co-workers at liars. The first time I met him, he use to work at big shots. We became close and I got to know the wonderful person he was. He always gave me words of encouragement, was always there when I needed him, and even confided in me his obsession with the Pixar movie Cars. He had a loving heart and was strong willed. He talked proudly about how close he was with his family and how he enjoyed working on his house with his dad. With his accomplishment of becoming a Correction Officer and continuing working as a bouncer, he was great at protecting people. He had many goals he wanted to fulfill but tragically it was cut short. I am glad Travis became a part of my life, and I in his. My heart and prayers go out to your family.
Travis I will forever miss you and never will forget you!!!
God Bless

One of the hardest things in life is to a loose a child. I know we don’t know each other and I don’t know your son/brother, but my son went through the academy with your son. My son spoke very highly of Travis and they shared many home sick moments together. They were placed at Attica together where they spent many days together, watching out for each other. No words will help the pain, but my family’s prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

To the Family and loved ones of C.O. T Darmott,
I send my dearest sympathy to you. Travis and I entered DOCS together and he was always a comedian as well as a friend. We had so much fun together at the academy. He was one of those people that left an impression in your life and you would time to time wonder if you will ever see him again...well I did at 5pts c.f. and he had gotten so big (muscular)..but it had not changed him because he was still a comedian and a fun guy to be with. Again to the family and loved ones...i send my sympathy to you all and please know that you too will see him again.

Although we both did not know your son we thought we would share this with his family; We were present at the time of the accident as we were just going into get a ice cream at Pat's. My boyfriend Rick saw the accident and asked the employee at Pat's Pizzeria to call 911 and he ran over to the truck and asked if he was alright and Travis responded to Rick to "please leave me alone" Once the police and fire fighters arrived they had cleared the area of people to make room for the ambulance to arrive and Rick had an overwhelming urge to pray for your son's soul as we are both are Christians. So we both bowed our heads and joined our hands and prayed to God for your son's soul and that God would take him in his arms and care for him in his time of need. We only later realized that the Lord took him home and we believe he is now safe in the arms of Jesus. May God be with your family in your time of need.
