Charles Girard Obituary

GIRARD - Charles Henry We celebrate the home going of our treasured father, Charles Henry Girard. He peacefully joined our Heavenly Father October 6, 2008. He was a teacher, a healer and an amazing friend to so many. This spectacular man spent his life exemplifying unadorned kindness. He so deeply cared for others and was deeply loved and cared for. We ask everyone who was touched by him to carry on his legacy of kindness by helping and caring for others. There is a world full of people who need a kind face to turn to. Please remember Charles by being one of those kind faces. Teresa, his loving wife of 39 years, his daughters Kelley, Danielle and Carrie, along with his grandchildren Jesse, Alexandra, Brock and Logan proudly carry on the values he stood for. A home going celebration will be held Monday, October 13 at 1 PM at Living Word Assembly of God Church, 2344 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519. Please send donations to the church in lieu of flowers. Please feel free to request that your donations be used for youth services as we know that Charles had such a special place in his heart for the youth of this world. Arrangements by MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Ontario, 315-524-4621.

A wonderful human being. I was taught yoga by Charles and ended up teaching for him for four years. He was a very gentle and charismatic man.

My best friend and loving husband on 39 years is now in the arms of Jesus. Part of my heart is with you, Chuck, but I know you are in a glorious new home of the Father. Now our family has a very special angel on each of our shoulders watching over us---even the little guys. I carry our beautiful memories with me and I smile when I think of how God brought you into my life. You were such an extraordinary, caring, loving man---what a powerful example of how we should live. My love for you will be treasured forever.
I am so proud to have had you in my life as a husband, as a father to our beautiful daughters, and as "Baba" to our grandchildren.
Love forever,
Terry

Chuck is my brother. He was also my friend. Having him in my life was a great gift from Our Heavenly Father. I will always have a hole in the part of my life that Chuck filled. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy. A beautiful wife, I am privileged to call her my sister, and friend. He leaves three beautiful redheaded daughers, they are gracious and kind and wonderful humanbeings. I a very proud to be a part of Chuck's family. I look forward to seeing him again in the Kingdom of God. Jesus said Jn. 14:18-19 refering to the Spirit of Truth, he will not leave us as orphans, Because I live, you also will live. So as we say good-bye to my sweet brother Chuck we know it is just for a season. And we will see him again.

Charles taught many people with his work at Gates Chili Continuing Education. He was a true professional who really cared about his students. It was an honor working with him.

An incredibly gifted man with a deep awareness of others. A friend, mentor, actor, educator, husband, father and grandfather who has been a blessing to so many. Those of us who have had our lives touched by him can continue that by touching others lives as he did ours.
My sympathies and love to the whole Girard family in the loss of Charles, but I rejoice for Charles' victory over death.
