sandy, pat , ash, pat and jackie and the Christopher family: we were so blessed to have known Sal - a wonderful man and a great father, grandfather and brother - as our next door neighbor - he was the best!
jesus walked into the room
and sat upon his bed
he looked into his glassy eyes
and stroked his soft grey head
then jesus rose and took his hand
He'd come to take him home.
He began to rise and follow Him,
but stopped upon the bed's shiny chrome.
he had always been a selfless man,
put his family before his mind.
and while he was in paradise,
what about the family (and dog) he'd leave behind?
but in loving hearts his family said
(they'd be sure to let him know)
that he'd be safe and happy there,
it was okay for him to go.
so, he took the hand of Jesus,
to follow him to the Lord,
he was ready to go to be with
the one that he adored, and to be reunited with Betty,
Sal, both adored.
and as the light grew brighter,
he took just one backwards glance,
he would look forward to when he would see his family at home, together, at last.
we love you guys
