Mom, your love will forever be in all our hearts. I think of you every day (as I always did). I only hope I will be as wonderful a mom as you were. We have so many great memories. Your positive outlook, even in times of difficulty, set an example for me that I will always try to live by.

I always enjoyed talking with Mary Lou, because she had a great skill of listening and being positive. It felt that she wanted to spend time with whoever she was with at that moment. I will remember her fondly.

~~God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference~~ ... words that Mom lived by when she was diagnosed with macular degeneration, and words that I take comfort in now. God's sign of the burning tree in the front yard of Mom and Dad's house on the night she passed has also soothed me, as "some say the burning bush is a picture of God's grace that draws us to Him". Mom was a beautiful woman, loving and kind to all.
I miss you Mom and I LOVE YOU so dearly!

MaryLou was a wonderful friend and I will miss her very much. We've kept in touch since she retired from BOCES. I enjoyed our dinners, phone conversations and memories of our families and students.
