It has been a year of tears, of wondering why you had to leave us so soon. It has been a year of longing to talk to you one more time, of giving you hugs and kisses and telling you we love you. It has been a year of wishing you could meet your new additions to the family and playing with the old ones. It has been a year.....

To our father who will always be in our hearts and memories. To our father who had taught us so many things and now can be passed down to our children. To our father may he rest in peace and know that his love will always shine down upon us.

Love You Dad

Dear Dad,
I felt the need to write as we are appraoching the anniversary of your death. Some days it feels like you have been gone from this earth forever and other days I feel like this was all a bad dream and your still here with me. And then I realize.. this is real. Your mortal being is gone. I cannot take back the mistakes we all made before your death. Only now can we learn from them. I am reminded every month that you are gone with Ava turning a month older. I was starting to regret that you died the day she was born. But as the days and weeks grew on and Ava grew up. I...I woke up today. Today I realized how much of your spirit is in her. She is so lively. Has so much passion for life. Her eyes are of your yesterday and her today. I relized that you are not gone, but only closer to me. She is a vigulant reminder that life not only goes on, but is one step closer to what life is really supposed to mean. She, like all babies, is love. Something that goes on forever no matter what. And nothing can break this love. Not death or the harsh realities of life here on earth. God gave her to me to soften then blow of you not being here on earth. But she made me realize that your spirit will always be here with us.
I love you forever!

Dear Dad,
I just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I truely did feel your presence there with us. Somehow, I feel you trying so hard for us to get through these holidays. I know you want us to move on. But sometimes that is so hard to do because we miss you so much! But it was Thanksgiving, and I truely felt so thankful. I am so thankful that I had such a wonderful Dad! Not alot of people can say that.
And Alex has arrived! And I am not sad because I know both Ava and Alex will have so much of your spirit inside of them. It will show in their personalities. How great for your spirit to live on in them! And for that, we are thankful!M.

Dear Dad,

I saw a rainbow today. I thought that the colors weren't as bright as they could have been. I wondered if life will continue to be that way. Not as bright as they could be if you were here. I wonder why the memories of the past come flooding in when someone dies. It makes you wonder if you said enough I love you's while the person was here. Are you really as happy as we hope over there? If death is a part of life why does it have to hurt so much. Why are we forced to go in the directions that we suddenly find ourselves in? Did you really mean to leave me now? M.

Growing up down the street from Dan, he always looked out for me when I was a kid. While working one night he heard that some kid named John Dreznes was brought into the station. Knowing who I was and knowing that the kid they brought in was not me made for some funny stories through the years. Dan had a smile that would light up the room. He is missed by so many.

My wife Alice daughter Kathleen and I had the privilege of traveling through Ireland with Dan and Cath in June of 1999.Dans sense of humor and his southside grasp on reality really added to the trip from the cramped B&B's to the horse cart rides and the bus trips. I will always remember and never stop laughing when I think of the night we were out in the rental car on the wrong side of the road on the wrong side of Dublin.

I always looked forward to seeing Dan at the family functions and reunions he was a true pleasure to be around.

Cathleen,Pat,Marney and Karen I hope that all of your fond memories will help you through this huge loss he was A GREAT GUY !

My deepest sympathies to all of the Williamson family.

I was privileged to have worked with Dan for several years In the Auditing & Internal Control division. Dan would regularly bring a little sunshine and humor to an otherwise dull, daily routine for the rest of us.

I know he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
