Dear Heinz and Matt,
May 13, 2011
Today when we had the Machias support meeting Linda was there with all of us. Heinz, we told stories, and shared all the photos you gave to me. Linda's feisty approach to dealing with her illness, her great sense of humor, and her love of life will be with all of us forever.
During my visits to see Linda at home, she always had a smile that not only lit up her eyes, but touched me deeply. We shared tears and laughter, hugs and her marvelous burps!
I will keep Linda in my heart always and will continue to 'celebrate' her life and remember her laughing and telling her stories throughout her very amazing journey that she shared with with so many of us. What an honor and a privilege to have known her and loved her. Heinz, we will wait for you to join us at the group again someday as we have so much to learn from you.
Love, Barb Barnett

Dear Heinz...It has been almost 30 years since Rick and I met you and Linda. What a wonderful day that was...our first meeting at the old house on Long. So many good memories! Your family has given us more than you can imagine. Our lives have been enriched because of both you. We have been blessed...thank you. You are in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
