LAWRENCE LIPSKY Obituary

Lawrence J. Lipsky, age 84, of Skokie, beloved husband for 58 years to the late Phyllis; cherished brother of Janet and the late Stanley Weider; loving father of Karen (Al) Bender, Joel Lipsky (Rhonda Wolff), Edie Lipsky Tsevi (Michael Hoffman); admiring grandfather of Sarah, Brandon, Shana, Evan, Matan, Alon, Tamar, and great-grandfather of Maxwell. Larry was a Veteran of WWII, graduate of Northwestern University as well as Loyola University Law School, and a retired senior partner for Blackman Kallick Accounting Firm. Larry lead a life of professional and personal integrity, advising and mentoring those young and old with kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity, as well as being a regular donor of multiple charitable organizations. As a successful CPA, his consultation was highly valued amongst his peers. His lifelong pursuit of intellectual and cultural fulfillment encompassed history, literature, and theatre. His other interests included vegetable gardening, following the Chicago White Sox, and a deep passion for golf. Our loss is deeply felt. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, June 5th 4 p.m. at Temple Judea Mizpah. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Judea Mizpah, 8610 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL 60077 or Council for Jewish Elderly-Lieberman Geriatic Center, 9700 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, IL 60076.
