I write this wishing I could be there, but knowing that Grandpa would prefer me to remember him for the person he was, not the disease that took his life. I will always remember the good times with him, my first Sox game, his hatred of Pizza, his love of Cooperstown, and of course his "colorful" language. It's sad to think that I won't see him again, but I'm glad to have known him when he was happy and healthy. He may be gone now, but he will never be forgotten.

So very sorry to hear of Donny's passing.
It was 1973 when I worked my first day at the Kitchen. It still is one of my favorite jobs that I ever had. Donny was alot of fun to work with even though he was the boss.
In all the years I worked at the Kitchen, I remember Donny taking off one Saturday. He, Dick and I believe Ronnie or Mr. McGee took the wives to see "The Sting". He and Dick called the Kitchen every chance they got. We only made about 6 house pies that night. Mmmm, I think that was Ricky's idea to make them.
As Harry would say, "Oh for the long one". What about "Oh for a Pizza Kitchen pizza" right about now.......
He will always be in my thoughts......
