Jack,
It will be 3 months tomorrow since you left and we continue to struggle every day without you. Carol, Sara and Joe have a beautiful tribute to you in the 9/10/2011 Chicago Tribune. Words cannot express how hard it is for them without you. But they are strong - and all those unforgettable memories with you help somehow ease their pain. And mine too. Watch over all of us Jack...we need you up there..keeping us on the straight and narrow.

Carol, Sara and Joe,
We will never forget the many holidays we shared with Jack and your family. I can still remember being 10 years old, and Jack saying with a smile, "Hey Tommy, how are you!" He was a very talented builder, and when we discuss the beautiful home he built for my parents, we always think of him.
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family and may you find some peace during these difficult times.

Sara and Family - We are grateful to Jack for producing such a wonderful daughter, one who is also a valued Associate for us to work with. That's not surprising since he was an alum of Mt. Carmel. In his memory, we have made a donation to the Mt. Carmel Scholarship fund. We very much appreciate Sara, and the fine work she does. Plano Family,
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. ~Flavia Weedn,
So very sorry, we will miss him.
Take care.

Carol, Sara and Joe,
We are deeply saddened by the loss of your husband-father. Jack was my longest friend and I have nothing but great memories of him. He was the most unique person I have ever known and I will miss him dearly. He had a masterful command of the english language but always seemed to refer back to a few short words. He will be missed by all who knew him. God bless him and his family.

Our family has known Jack and Vito since they came here from Italy as little kids. Jack and my brother Jack have been very close friends. I've always enjoyed Jack's straightforwardness as well as his great sense of humor...I last saw Jack in Florida this past January. We had lunch and with all that had been happening in his life, he was as upbeat as ever. You fought a good fight. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Plano family.
