Thinking about all of the good times we had at your birthday parties every year--the food, the laughter, the family and most of all, the great accordian music that you provided! We will still celebrate; you will be in spirit. I miss you and love you forever, Tess

My sincere sympathy to all the Brosnan family on Dennys passing. My father Jackie Fitzgerald from the top of the Maum always spoke the very best of him and considered him a true friend though they ended up in two different countries. You may not believe this but I woke the Sunday morning and felt he had passed away and later heard him prayed for at Castleisland mass. No doubt he took a walk that morning outside my house on his way to or from town for a last time . Though my father is dead for 21 yrs any of the people of his era that pass away still causes sadness and memories for myself.
Again I wish to extend my sympathy to your family and hope Denny is at peace and playing a bit of music with his many friends and former neighbours from Castleisland.

Everytime i was in your presence, you made me feel so important and so special {as if i were an only child!} haha. You have taught me to stay strong when i dont think i can and to always keep the faith. you loved unconditionally and i think thats what i miss most about you. our thursdays were ours : jewel-post office- durbins for a few pints. you were the most awesome dad there was. i miss you more than words can say but i will try and stay strong because of you. momma will be ok. i will take good care of her. until i see you again dadda xxoo mary

Daddy, not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You were the best dad; you were kind, thoughtful, and loving. Your faith in God was evident by the way you lived your life. You were my buddy and I miss you terribly. We will all take care of Mom the way you would want us to. I love you dad, your baby, Tess

To the Brosnan Family, you are all family to me. I am very sad for your lose. Your Husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather was like a father to me. I do believe this to be true because I always felt the love as soon as I walked through the door.

I have many cherished memories of the Huge Sunday family dinners, Denny playing the Mulogen and peeling the spuds, Kay dipping into the sauce and saying here Kate taste it. I can teach you to make it. Denny chatting about his beloved Grandmother and his hometown of Castleisand. He was so proud to be from "The Kingdom"! The friendship and memories that Denny shared with me of my Uncle Dave that died when I was very young.

Denny was a true Gentleman. He was generous, kind and quiet but yet had a quick wit about him. He loved his family and was so proud of each and everyone of you.

He will be missed my many people, especially his beloved wife, Kathleen. One thing I know for sure is whenever I think of him I will always smile and know we all have an angel looking down on us.

God Bless All the Brosnan's

To All the Brosnan Clan, but especially to Mary, Mark, Denis, and Neil...We were proud to have known and dined with "Mr.Denis"...we will cherish our memories of his wit and wisdom. The love for the green hills and valleys of Ireland, that he saw and was reminded of in our hills and valleys in California, when he visited us there, will always warm our hearts. We see him still, in our mind's eye, playing his "squeeze box" in his backyard...as he entertained and enchanted us all. May God keep you all in the Palm of His Hand, as He lets Mr. Denis watch over you now...our love to you all.

Poppie, thank you for showing me what it means to be a family, and how to love with no boundries. I will always love you in my own special way.

I love you Poppie and will always carry you with me in my heart! I hope to continue to live my life in a way that will do you proud. I will never forgot you playing songs on the accordion for us with your foot tapping , giving us candy on Sundays, telling us to drive safe, teaching us how important family is, and loving each and every one of us for who we are. The word lost a great man but heaven gained an amazing angel. I love forever and always Poppie. Rest in Peace.

What can I say about Poppie that hasn't already been said? He was just a great man: modest, hard-working, loving. Coming from from humble beginnings, he built a life filled with family and friends. He truly lived the American dream and we are all so proud of the example he set for us on how to live a good life.

But to many of us, he was also just Poppie: who patted us on the head, made short work entire sacks of potatoes with a paring knife, doled out handfuls of Brach's candy from his dresser drawer, pounded a steady beat on the linoleum tile through many a melodeon duet, and took his tea on the porch for some blessed peace and quiet when the family antics reached a cacophonous pitch. We all loved you and will never forget you! Rest in peace.

You will never be lost Poppie, because we know where you are! Pray for us and powerfully intercede for us along with the Communion of Saints! You will always be my hero and as your namesake I hope to be half the man you were to all of us! I will love you always and I will carry you in my heart forever!
