Dear Doug and Family,
Twenty seven years ago my daughter was in Sandra's 3 year old class at FUMC. It was her first school experience and she cried the first week. Sandra took her in her arms and convinced her that she was going to have the time of her life. With her patience and nurturing way, Sandra laid the foundation for her love of school. I feel blessed that Sandra was a part of our lives and hope that your fond memories of her will bring you comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Doug, Blaine, and Harriet,
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard each day can be, but in time your sadness will be replaced by happy memories - I know this well since losing my dad in 2007.

I wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

My folks forwarded this announcement to me. I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. My mom was reminding me that the two of them were our "room mothers" when we were in elementary school. All my best to you and your family.

Dear Doug--We were so very sorry to hear about Sandra's illness. She was a sweet lady and will be missed by all who knew her. It was such a "joy" and privilege to co-teach with your dear wife in a 3-Yr. old class at FUMC many years ago. May God surround you and your family with the comfort of His sustaining love.
