Mrs. Johnson was my favorite teacher of all time. I am shocked to find out she has passed. She was one of the most beautiful people inside and out.

I just learned about her passing. Mrs. Johnson was one of my favorite teachers. I remember her vividly even though it was 16 years ago. I have many good memories: the fieldtrip to West GA College, the many times she excused me from P.E. to help her grade papers, her not requring the girls to fully rest our heads on our desk during Quiet Time because we might mess up our hair. She was the greatest and so beautiful inside and out.

Lisa's heritage shows in the life of her family and friends. I see Lisa's life in her husband and Betsy and Emily. Thankfully, Lisa, Betsy and Emily shared the formative years that are the foundations of a good life. We miss her yet her memory continues stronger each day. We are grateful for her life.

I played Lisa in her ALTA match the day before the accident. She was an incredible player(she won in 3 sets) and a great competitor. I also have a 9 and 11 year old and this has made me more appreciative of every little moment together. I am so sorry for your loss.

Skip,

It has been many years since I have seen either you or Lisa. I was saddened to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of being involved in FBC Carrollton activities with Lisa. She always had a smile for everyone. As I have read the tributes to her it has helped me realize that I need to reevaluate and seek a closer walk with God. There is now another beautiful voice added to the heavenly choir.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Skip and girls,

I was deeply saddened to hear Dr Bob's phone tree message alerting the FBCLS family of Lisa's tragic and untimely passing. Although we will doubtless never understand why Lisa left us so suddenly, of one thing I am reasonably certain, something good, something positive will come from this that will reach many people; God's Word gives us that assurance. Our FBCLS family grieves with you and family in this tragic loss. Of one thing we can be certain, Lisa now worships the Father, Son and Holy Spirit firsthand and one day we will join her again. God bless and keep you and the girls.

Dear Skip and Family,

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. I felt that the service was very uplifting and a wonderful tribute to a wonderful woman. Now I can rest assured that my Mom finally has a good tennis partner! I'm sure there are some glorious matches going on up there!!

I'll be thinking about all of you and you are in my prayers.

Dear Skip, Betsy and Emily,

I was heartbroken to hear of Lisa's passing. I came to know Lisa at Arlington, my daughter Ashley was a classmate of Emilys for three years, they began Kindergarten together. I will never forget the sweet smile that Lisa had, she lit up a room when she entered it. Please know that our prayers are with you. Take comfort in knowing that she is home with our Lord.

May God Bless you and comfort you.

Skip, Betsy, and Emily,

Our family was very saddened to hear about the sudden death of Lisa. We have been in Texas for 3 years now, but the memories of Lisa have stayed with us. Chandler and Emily were in Girl Scouts together for several years, and Lisa always impressed me with her sweet spirit and kindness. She was a special person and I feel priviledged to have known her. You and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers.

Skip, I just want you to know that you and Lisa had a great impact on my daughter's (Jenni Blankenship Mahan) life. I remember how excited she was when you were expecting each of the girls, she felt she was a part of that experience. You were both great examples of Christian love for her. My prayers are with you and your girls.

Skip and Girls: Lisa's light burns bright in those of us who were touched by her kindness and generosity. I still have a card she sent to me three years ago -- that's how much it meant to me! In Lisa's honor, I vow to "reach out" a little more to those who need a pick-me-up! God bless you all -- and may you feel our Lord's comforting presence wrapped around you.

Love and peace, Tracy Moore (and Mick, Braden and Dylan)

Skip, Betsy and Emily,

I guess I am like everyone else, at a loss for words. On Friday afternoon when we heard the news it seemed impossible. Lisa was very special to me, always smiling and so beautiful even first thing in the morning when I would see her on the way to Arlington. I feel so lucky to have known Lisa as a friend, a fellow Junior League member and one of the mom's who was always helping out at school. I will miss her very much. Please know you are all 3 in my prayers. Love, Stephanie Bleakley

Skip and Family,

How do you tell someone in a time like this that God has called their loved one home? While it is a comforting thought, it is bittersweet. My prayer for your family is that Christ will hold you in his arms and you will know that he is Love. Skip, you have been a shining example to me of a man after God's own heart, and I am forever in debt to you. 1 Corinthians 15:56 says that in Christ we are victorious over death... and with all of my heart I truly believe that your wife has overcome death and is watching over you and your family in the arms of our savior.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Lisa. I watched her play tennis this past Thursday during our Alta tennis match. I did not have the honor of getting to know her, but she was a beautiful lady and a wonderful tennis player. The entire Cherokee tennis team is deeply saddened.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the unexpected death of Lisa. Our tennis team, Cherokee Town Club, played her team on Thursday. I was impressed by Lisa's focus and wonderful demeanor on the court. She was obviously a very gifted athlete, but also just as obvious, she was a kind and fair person. I know that she will be missed by all. I am truly sorry for the loss to your family and to her many friends.
