I was also a member of the DuPage County Genealogical Society and am extremely saddened to hear that Sandra passed. She was not only a fine genealogist but also a very dear friend who encouraged me to continue researching and also to contribute to the DCGS as newsletter co-editor and surname list editor. She was a very gracious lady and I send my heartfelt condolences to all the family.

It was my privilege to know Sandy as she and Lou Szucs crafted their seminal book on the records of the National Archives Regional Archives System. Sandy always set the standard for excellence, yet never lost that childlike curiosity about and excitement for the historical record. It was a blessing and delight to know her, and to witness her many professional successes and personal triumphs.

So Sorry to hear Sandy is gone. We knew she had cancer but seems like I just saw her dancing at Willowbrook just a month ago, shocked to hear she has passed. She was liked by a lot of people. Sandy was a very kind, down to earth person and a good dancer, she will be missed by many.

Sandra Hargreaves Luebking was an example to me of a professional family history researcher. I was privileged to be in the audience for many of her presentations, as well as a regular reader of the Forum. Above all, her smile and joyful presence stood out. The genealogical community will never be the same. May God shower your family with many blessings and sweet memories.

Sandra Luebking was such a delightful person and I enjoyed our chats about grandchildren and the joy that they bring us. It was my honor to be one of the contributors to The Source and working with Sandra on that was a neat experience. I know her family will miss her radiant smile! Her outlook on life was so positive even through her illness. The genealogical community is really going to miss her presence.
