Edmonia PARTLOW Obituary
Her life began on May 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Edmonia "MeMe" and Charles "Charlie Boy" Jackson.
Being raised in a Christian home, she confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was educated in the local public schools. She had been a dedicated employee of the College of William and Mary for 30 years. Edmonia, "Babysis," as she was so lovingly called, was an affectionate and loving mom, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her and she will be forever loved and missed.
She leaves her precious memory with her former husband, Thomas Partlow; her children, Sandra Williams (Calvin), Barry Partlow, and Chris Partlow (Valerie); her brother, Clifton "D.D" Jackson ( Gracie); her sisters, Hortense Hilt and Hilda Burrell; her five grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thanks" to the Warwick Unit and all other caregivers for the loving care you gave to Mrs. Partlow.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, in Whiting's Chapel with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 12:45 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Partlow may be viewed in the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. Monday, until the hour of her service. RIP Aunt Babysis , you are greatly missed and always Loved.
One of my best memories as a child an visiting you as was you were always so sweet we would sit in your family room or in the porch an I could talk to you . Miss those times but will cherish those memories forever. Love you always Carolyn Jackson

My thoughts and prayers go out to my family (Barry, Chris and Sandra) who are burying one of our own today (Edmonia C. "Babysis" PARTLOW)....Father in heaven, Even though my heart is heavy with grief, I want to praise Your holy name. You are an awesome God. You spoke and the world was created. I give You all glory and honor for who You are. I worship You alone. I thank You that you know my pain and sorrow. Your Word says “as a mother comforts her child, You comfort us.� I ask that You be my comfort today. Help me to sense Your presence and Your peace. Help me to reach out and comfort others as You Father, have comforted me. In Jesus name, amen.

It was with heartfelt sorrow to learn of babysis's passing. Having lived all of my adolescent life with her and the rest of my Highland Park Family, many memories are etched in my mind, (her ever present smile, cooking, baking & sewing skills)...love you cous'!!
