Dear Emily,Bodie, Mr. Riggins and family
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, I have such fond memories of your mama and your daddy from my childhood years living in Dandy. I remember her delivering the mail in her green car when we were young. She always had a sweet smile and something sweet to say to my mom, dad, my sisters and I . She loved her family and everyone in Dandy and I know you will surely miss her dearly. SHe is up there in heaven with so many wonderfuld folks of Dandy and my precious mama, who have gone on before us to be with Jesus. I have a fond memory of your daddy too,it was the first Dandy Day parade a few years ago, we were sitting in Hope Cluverius' yard watching the parade , and I was sitting next to your dad.Half way through the parade he squeezed my hand and said, " Honey, this is the biggest thing that has ever happened in Dandy, isn't it great" and he smiled, I think your mama was in the parade that year. HE was so sweet the way he said it. Give your dad a big hug from me, and I pray God will take each of you through one day at a time . You have such wonderful memories share and cherish and special traditions to pass on. God Bless each of you, sending prayers, hugs and love . Like my two older sisters Linda and Betty and I always say, we moved away from Dandy but our hearts stayed in Dandy with all of you .
