I met Ken when we both worked for Gordon McLendon at KNUS. Yvette was just a couple of years old then. We worked together again at KKDA FM when he was sales manager. I spent many hours with him at his homes at Lakewood Village, PK, and Fort Davis, where everybody went to play. Ken was one of the most wonderful and kind people I have ever known. A true Officer and a Gentleman. I still think of him often. Sorry I never got to meet you, Valerie.

I am sad to find out Ken passed in 2008. He was married to my mother when she passed away. We were good friends for a time following my mother's passing, but I lost touch. I have thought about him often over the years.

I'm Michael Krastin and I'm married to Valerie's daughter Stacie who was Ken's step daughter. I didn't know Ken for very long or spend a whole bunch of time with him but the time's I was blessed enough to talk with him or spend time with him he was very gracious, careing and just seemed like a person that would be there at a moments notice if you needed him. He was truely an unselfish man. I know my wife is just heart broken of his passing, as I can't help to be as well. He was a good father figure for my wife as well as being a great grand father to my step children and I wish I would have been able to have as equal an experience with him as they were able to have. He is already terribly missed.

My sympathies to step-daughter Stacie Krastin, husband Michael and grandchildren. They will miss the love and affection that Ken displayed to all the family members.
Sorry I did not know Ken personally, but he was loved by many and will be missed by all.

When Ken and my Best Friend married eight years ago I knew we were in for and interesting ride.
He was one of the most diverse people I had ever met. His gentleness, his sternness and
his sense of humor. His compassion for his dogs.
I loved to watch his face light up when Val would walk across the room.
Once he offered me a place to live at Pk, just where Val would have someone to run around with while
he was at work. What guy would buy his wife's Best friend a
Sniper Rifle for her Birthday? "Once A Marine, Always a Marine"
When he loved you there was nothing he would not do for you.
I regret not spending more time with him the last few years.
He will always have a spot in my heart and will be missed.

Ken was one of my Dad's closest friends. My Dad always called him "Little Brother". Our family grieves, we feel that we've lost another member of our family. We have many fond memories that we will cherish.
