Funeral service for Hermon T. "Tubby" Segars, 82, will be Sunday, December 05, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating. Visitation will be Sunday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Segars died on Thursday, December 02, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 15, 1928, in Morgan County to Jasper Green Segars and Fanny Bell Johnson Segars. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He served in the Korean War in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. He was retired from Worthington Corp. and Amoco Chemical Company. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jasper Lee Segars.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Mae Davis Segars; two daughters,
Sharon G. Allen of McCalla and Sandra D. Russell of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Lee Hartley of Pell City, Graham Russell of Louisville, Ky., Garnett Truman Russell of Louisville, Ky.; three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jacob and Jeremiah Hartley, all of Pell City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
