Robert Alexander Cheeks

MILFORD — Robert Alexander Cheeks, 55, of Milford died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Christiana Hospital in Newark. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Elder Joseph Lee Cheeks and Gladys Lillian Pulley Cheeks.

He served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a construction worker.

Loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Valerie Cheeks of Milford; two daughters, Bryana Smith Cheeks and Jazalynn Smith Cheeks, both of Milford; stepmother, Ella Cheeks of Salisbury; two brothers, Leavander (Monica) Cheeks of Knightdale, N.C., and David Cheeks of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Gladys Cheeks of Raleigh and Mary Ann Pete of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home PA at 1618 West Road in Salisbury. Disposition will be private.
