grandma

I dont know how to say goodbye It's so hard to walk away
I took for granted you would be here each and every day
I wasted so much time, I left so much unsaid
I should have been better, I should have never fled.

I hope you know I love you even though i wasnt there
I hope you felt my heart and never thought i didnt care.
I will cherish all the memories the good and the bad
I will remember the last embrace and hurt for the time we never had.

I know your in heaven and all your pain has stopped,
I know your heart is at peace and your last tear has finally dropped.
I smile as I see you at the entrance to heavens gate
My brother standing next to you, so excited he just cant wait.

I can only imagine the joy he feels, as he walks you to Gods throne
Here is my grandma Lord thank you, thank you for bringing her home
As God embraces you, you know your where you belong
Its time for you to begin your journey and your heart can sing it's song.

Softly the wind blows and you turn around to see
You tell us all to be happy because you are finally free,
You are everything you used to be and more than you ever knew
Your surrounded by Gods love and now your heart is true.

I dont know how to say goodbye, it's so hard to walk away
I love you more than you will ever know or words could ever say.
