Steven and I grew up together, we lived several houses apart and were practically inseparable. We shared so many memories: street hockey, skateboarding, sleepovers, movies and so much more; way to many to list. When he and his family moved a couple miles away me and him would always ride bikes to each others houses. He got me into so many things like working out and just being a healthy person. Though we grew apart in the last few years he will always be a part of me because he made me the man I am today. Love you Steven, you were my best and oldest friend and I am so sorry I wasn't there to help you in the last few years.
To his parents: This is Chris Kester. I would love to speak with you further as we had only a moment at the funeral. My number is 303-726-0982, please call me and we can sit down to dinner and catch up. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Dana, and the rest of your family.

Steven was a close friend of my son Chris' for many years, and was at my house so much I thought I had a second son sometimes. He always had a smile, and was a wonderful person to have around. We are heartbroken to hear of Steven's passing and send our very deepest condolences to all who loved him and will miss him so much...especially to his wonderful family. You will be forever in our thoughts and prayers...

Steven was a close friend of my husband Chris and I. Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved playing with him. We shared many laughs and tears together and we were truely blessed to know and love Steven. He will have a spot in our hearts for as long as we live and he will be greatly missed.

I will miss you very dearly Steven. You were here for me at a time that I needed you and you helped me see the bigger picture in life. I feel very blessed to have known you and honored that you got to know my daughter. You will forever be missed.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family in this difficult time. We are all terribly upset from the news of Steven's passing. On our last visit out to Colorado, we visited Steven and his family. Upon meeting Steven for the first time in many years, we were impressed by the man Steven had grown up to be. A polite and warm son of wonderful parents and family, who was so nice, that he made others around him happier just with his presence. The impression Steven left on us will fill us with warmth always. We will remember and miss you Steven.
