Scott's mentor at Castleberry High School, Charles Duke, passed away, age 94, Easter Sunday, 2024. Charles was choir director and all around master for Castleberry Acapella Choir. They traveled all around the world, and part of Scott's inspiration in life and music and being active with TCC Turtle Creek Chorale, stems from Charles Duke's life influences... a world and generations are passing.

First met Scotty when he was 17 and had a broken leg, if I remember correctly it was from a ski trip with the Castleberry Choir and Charles Duke. Hard to grasp that Scott has been gone for eleven years already... loving memories

What with our society in "shelter in place" these days, and noting anniversary... I can truly not believe Scott's been gone nine years? Photo attached he was probably early 20s... I first met Scott when he had a broken leg from a ski trip, I think it was with the Castleberry choir... and Mr. Charles Duke. Mr. Duke and Joe Don Conger live just off of Camp Bowie, near the West 7th area, doing well in retirement. Scott always held Mr. Duke with reverence, and then of course Scott's years with Turtle Creek Chorale.

Never forgotten!

Wow. I was so surprised when this popped up on my email. But I too, ride by Arkansas Lane and think of Scott and his friendliness and helpfulness to my husband Al, who was starting in the business and working with HUD and VA Acquired Properties. Although Al worked for firm next door, Texas Properties, Al and Scott formed a business friendship of respect and courtesy and professionalism. Appreciated that so very much and it was so valuable to Al. Thank you for allowing me to share this.

Not a week goes by that I pause, think of the little house on Arkansas, Scott's office, or many many moments shared over the years...

It has been over 2 years now since your passing and I still catch myself thinking of you. I was raised around you and you were like family. You always had funny stories to tell everyone about Lindsey and I when we were kids. I never did get to say how much I appreciated you helping Lindsey and I get into horses which we still enjoy everyday or how I finally did end up getting my Real Estate License last year. You always had faith in me. You will never be forgotten. My family and I miss you very dearly. Sympathies go out to friends and families.

Oh my Dear Lord, I'm just today finding out about Scott's passing. I read the current U.T. Arlington magazine and spotted Scott's obituary. Its my birthday today and my heart is broken and I sit hear crying quietly. I met Scotty about 1973-74 when he was 17 and I was 21 I think, he had a broken leg and was still determined to go on a Castleberry Choir trip with Mr. Charles Duke. Scotty, Gary Coker, David Browning (all UT Arlington Alumni) and others stayed in touch over these past decades. I remember fond times of playing cards and watching sports on weekends with scotty and some other roomates at this home in Interlochin area, I usually ended up buying the pizza because I won the the card games. Scott stopped by my house a couple of years ago, looking great and that smile of his, and I so enjoyed the visit... many stories I could tell of scotty, all with love and appreciation.

"Scott...I pick up the phone to call, but learn you were not there." My heart is heavy to read about the passing of Scott today. We met over 25 years ago through a dear friend. I have always had the most admiration for Scott. I will miss him and think of him often, and celebrate his life today and forever. I pray that his family finds peace from the joy and love Scott has given us all.

I did not know Scott well but whenever I did meet him he had a smile and made you laugh. He was a very good man. We talked at rodeos and met Craig once a few years back at a Ft. Worth rodeo and they both seemed full of happiness and kindness. Craig and family, you have my deepest sympathy.

So many memories of Scott -- from whale-watching in San Diego to glass-hunting in Prague to wandering around Montreal and especially to many years of singing together in the Turtle Creek Chorale. I knew Scott as a devoted son and wonderful friend.

I've known Scott and Linda since 3rd grade. He always loved music. I will always remember him asking me to play the theme song of "Bonanza" over on the piano for him at his birthday party. He was a true cowboy even then.

Scott was always kind to all he met. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Linda and Family, know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

So sorry for your loss, as well as our loss of a friend and fellow Realtor. My husband, Al Greene, was very selective of his friends and Scott was a friend! He and Al entered real estate about same time and even tho there was an age difference, they were on same playing field professionally. Al worked next door for another company(all women at that time) and if you didn't see Al at the office, he was next door visiting Scott and learning and sharing real estate. Scott was ever the gracious giving person which made him very respected in our industry by his peers. Fortunately, while Al was alive, we were able to get Scott a little better outside of real estate as well. He is misses and my heart has taken a hit today finding out about Scott's passing. Al is probably happy to see another friend so that is a comforting thought. God bless you and yours!

Linda and Larry and Angela I am so sorry to hear the news today of Scott's passing. He was such a wonderful guy and when Gino and I used to visit him he always gave me such a tour of his latest auctions buys. He was a wealth of knowledge on R S Prussia china and I know I will treasure the time spent with him looking at items on eBay. He was a wonderful human being and we were lucky to have known him and laughed with him.

I just recieved the phone call with the news of Scott's passing. Needless to say, I am saddened and shocked. I've known Scott for several years and have always viewed him as "bigger than life itself." When he entered a room, people took notice. He was always a gracious and humble man and I consider it an honor to have called him a friend. I offer my deepest sympathy to his beloved sister and niece and also to his partner, Craig.

Scott was a wonderful and always cheerful person when I was around him. His smile was contagious and his heart was always in the right spot! We met 22 years ago when I just started a Real Estate magazine and he was one of the first brave soles to jump in. He knew he could count on me and I knew that of him too. We would laugh every month when ads were due because of his (lack of) computer skills or having 6 things to do at once. But, like Scott, he pushed through and made it happen. Just like with everything he did that was important to him. It was a great working relationship/friendship and he will truly be missed by all he touched. My deepest sympathy to Scott's family and partner. May God bless you all.

Scott Davidson, so much to recall, more goodness then one could ever possibly hope for in an individual -- a cheerful voice that would always greet you, and warm hugs that would bid you farewell. Those are just two of the many memories that I will miss about my friend. Until we ride again, there will not be one uniformed horseback journey that my memory doesn't recall your wonderful presence in my life. What a privilege and blessing these 15 years have truly been,….and now, a quick blink of the eye, and you’re gone..... But, I comfort that I will see you again in that special “Down Under” town we both said was a must to visit. Oh, and don’t forgot about the Gold Buckle seats where we toasted “the good life” in 2006! It’s these types of memories that force me to keep moving forward during a time when my heart aches, my smile is a frown, and my mind wishes to remain stationary. I’ll look for you in a sunset during my next ride west to the open mountains of Colorado….....for I know you are in a much better place.

"I WILL MISS LOVING YOU"

It is with great sorrow that we part with our brother and chorale member, Scott Russell Davidson on this side of Jordan, but oh what joy when we meet on the other side. When he reach that blessed homeland, where there's everlasting day; on that bright and blessed morning, God shall wipe all tears away. Always bear in mind that spirit was never born and spirit can never die. Remember that God gives grace for each trial, and courage for each sorrow and faith to face in confidence a blessed, sweet, blissful and bright tomorrow.

I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Davidson many years ago. As a matter of fact,he sold me my first home through his real estate organization, as it were. To my delight, I met him again in 2000, when joining the 1st tenor section of The Turtle Creek Chorale. I will never forget how giving Scott Davidson was, and his consistant dedication and generous contributions he gladly made very quietly, to the Turtle Creek Chorale and DFW Community. The Turtle Creek Chorale, City of Arlington/Dallas, Tarrant County Sheriff Department , the community and the entire nation will miss him very much. R. I. P. My brother. I will forever cherished your beautiful smile and pleasing
personality.

As I go to my Heavenly Father in prayer, I will ask for a special blessing for the entire family of Mr. Scott Russell Davidson. Sail on young 'Turtle' until you reached the Jordan Shores and unite with, with your darling mother, Martha Ann and become a member of the Heavenly Chorus.

With warm regards,
