I don't believe you ever really left any of us. I made a promise to your dad at calling hours to always remember you. I've thought about you every single day in this past year. You changed my life . I know your brother went on Kairos and then became a leader. I know you were there with him. I love you so much and will never, ever forget you.
To Laury, Annette, Gianni, Santino, and Armando...there is nothing that any of us can say to help you as the year mark approaches. Hold on to each other and know that we are all thinking about you. I will be praying for you all.

Dear DiMichaelangelo Family,
I have never met you, but I want you to know I pray for Milena, and your strength, courage, and faith.Even though I go to Watterson, I learned about your daughter through my neighbor who cheered with her DeSales. My heart truly breaks for you, and the unfairness of it all. The pain is unimaginable, and I'm so sorry. I know there isn't much comfort in words, but I believe God needed a irreplaceable,truly beautiful person in Heaven, and Milena exceeded the qualifications. I am only now just learning of your heartbreak. I am so sorry.
Although I am no stranger to loss and grief, I cannot begin to comprehend the vastness of your sorrow.
I do believe that heaven is real. And while it may be of little comfort (because what can bring comfort?), I know that Milena is in a great state of joy and serenity and today she is saying "happy mother's day to the best mom in the world!"
